Livelihood Relief

Team Everest currently works closely with 1000+ families in Tamilnadu as part of our various initiatives. Many of our children’s parents are daily labourers, construction labourers, drivers, watchmen etc.

The covid pandemic and the resulting lockdown has affected many families. As per our survey, at least 50% of them were badly affected because of the pandemic and have lost jobs, salary for one or more months or have taken a cut in their salary.

Covid Livelihood Relief is aimed at providing a small financial support to such families so that they can overcome the current economic crisis and manage their livelihood. The amount will vary between Rs 2000 to Rs 7000 based on the need. On an average, we pay Rs 5000 per family.

The Livelihood relief cash amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary. The beneficiaries of this program lives in 9 villages in Tiruvannamalai Dt (Tamilnadu), a town called Arni in Tamilnadu and in Chennai.
