 Write a letter for a girl student

This women's day, you can motivate and guide a girl student.


If you are a graduate and above, you can write a letter for a college girl. If you are a college student, you can write a letter to a school girl. If you are a school student you can write a letter or draw anything positive for a school girl. You just have to write 1 letter. 


Your letter can include stories, life tips, which you think will help the girl student. You can write in English or Tamil only.


Note: We will do a Zoom Orientation, where we will show you a sample. We will provide a handbook with instructions and samples. 

Be an elder brother/sister to a student. Write a 1 or 3-page letter in English or Tamil, you can share your life

lessons or advice you think will be helpful for a student. 


Write your heart out and help them become successful in life by sharing your experiences.


Team Everest will share your letter with a student to make a difference.

Why are we doing 'Letter to a Girl Student?'


  1. Most students we work with are parentless or single-parented. These students need constant motivation and guidance. So, letters from volunteers like you can inspire, educate, and make them feel loved and cared.


Who should I write the letter for?


  1. 1. If you have finished college, you can write a letter to a college student. 
    2. If you are a college student, you can write a letter to a school student. 
    3. If you are a school student, you can write a letter to another school student.


Why the letter should be handwritten and not typed?


Handwritten letters feel more personal and establishes a connection between you and the student. 


How many pages the letter can be?


We recommend you to keep it to 1 or 3 pages maximum.


In what language can I write the letter?


You can write the letter in English or Tamil only. Because our beneficiaries know these two languages alone. 


Do I have to share the letter directly with a student?


You only have to upload the letter. We will be sharing the letter with the student. You can find the upload link in the handbook we will share with you post orientation.


Will I get any help from you to write the letter?


We will do an online orientation to explain you the activity in detail. We will show you sample letters. Post orientation, we will also email you the resources as a handbook.

Orientation is an online webinar that we conduct to explain the activity in detail to the volunteers. We also address the queries of volunteers during it.


Is it mandatory to attend the orientation?


Yes, it is mandatory to attend the orientation to be part of this activity.
