Why are we doing 'Letter to a Student?'
  1. We sponsor many students' education. Most of them are parentless or single-parented. These students need constant motivation and guidance. So, letters from volunteers like you can inspire, educate, and make them feel loved and cared.
Who should I write the letter for?
  1. 1. If you have finished college, you can write a letter to a college student. 
    2. If you are a college student, you can write a letter to a school student.
    3. If you are a school student, you can write a letter to another school student.
Why the letter should be handwritten and not typed?

Handwritten letters feel more personal and establishes a connection between you and the student. 

How many pages the letter can be?

We recommend you to keep it to 1 or 3 pages maximum.

In what language can I write the letter?

You can write the letter in English or Tamil only. Because our beneficiaries know these two languages alone. 

Do I have to share the letter directly with a student?

You only have to upload the letter. We will be sharing the letter with the student. You can find the upload link in the handbook we will share with you post orientation.

Will I get any help from you to write the letter?

We will do an online orientation to explain you the activity in detail. We will show you sample letters. Post orientation, we will also email you the resources as a handbook.

Is it mandatory to attend the orientation?

Yes, it is mandatory to attend the orientation to be part of this activity.
