Connect & Collect Students Stories

With help from individuals like you, Team Everest runs a Scholarship program to sponsor the graduation of Parentless, Single-Parented, and Financially poor students. 


We need Volunteers who can speak with our scholars, get to know them more, know their background, their stories so that we can support them better.

    

We will connect you with two Team Everest scholarship students.

You just have to speak with the students and know their stories, record the conversation and also document them in the template we will share.


Note: We will explain the activity via Zoom Orientation. We will share interview questions & tag you with students.

Note: We will share interview questions & tag you with students.   

Things to Know

  1. You have to speak with two students over phone call and collect their stories. You will get 5 days to complete the activity.
  2. You must set up the calls individually with them. You can speak with the students in English or Tamil.
  3. You have to record your call with the students and upload it in the link which we will share you in handbook. (Refer FAQs to know about Handbook)
  4. You have to fill a template document to document the students' stories and share them with us. (You will find the doc in the handbook)

    Who will I speak with and collect stories?
    1. You will speak with Team Everest's 'I am the Change' scholarship students. Students maybe in 
    2. any year of college or even a passed out scholar.
    What is the program structure?

    You will have 5 days to collect 2 students' stories. 

    Will I get any help from Team Everest?

    Yes, we will conduct an online orientation to explain the activity and we will tag you with the students. We will also share a handbook that will have the questions you can ask the students to collect their stories. 

    Are there any language constraints?

    Any graduate & above person who understands and speaks Tamil & English can volunteer in this program.

    Orientation is an online webinar that we conduct to explain the activity in detail to the volunteers. We also address the queries of volunteers during it.

    Is it mandatory to attend the orientation?

    Yes, it is mandatory to attend the orientation to be part of this activity.

    What is a handbook?
