About Us

Team Everest began in 2006 when our founder, Karthee Vidya, had just finished engineering and entered the corporate world. From his very first salary, he donated to support education—and convinced three of his friends to do the same. With just ₹4,000, he visited a rural school in Tamil Nadu where 70% of the children were former child labourers. He paid their school fees and gave them uniforms, notebooks, and other essentials.

That one act of kindness sparked something bigger.

Over the years, thousands of volunteers have joined this journey—each bringing their own passion to create change. Karthee eventually quit his high-paying corporate job to do full-time social work through Team Everest.

Today, Team Everest is powered by a passionate team of dreamers, doers, and believers who love volunteering. We believe everyone has endless love within them—and we are here to help people channel that love to make a difference.
