What is 'Career Ready' Scholarship?

It is an initiative from Team Everest to help college students in Tamilnadu to learn the required skills 

to become employable and have a good career ahead.


A popular survey states 47% of Indian graduates are unemployable. 

This is because they lack skills.


Through 'Career Ready' Scholarship, we look to bridge the gap between a college student and a good career 

by conducting various virtual training program for the students and help them build skills.


The training program is Rs 50,000 worth and is given free of cost to students, 

who get shortlisted in this Scholarship program.


E-certificate is also provided to all scholars at the end of each training program.

Who can apply for this Scholarship?

Any Arts & Science or engineering student in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or final year who is studying in Tamilnadu with family income less than Rs 3,00,000 per annum can apply for this Scholarship.

Welcome Email

Post your form submission, we will send you a welcome email. The email will have a 'Trainee Selection Interview' link. You must click on the link and attend the Interview and confirm your participation in the program. Please note that you cannot be part of the program if you do not do the 'Trainee Selection Interview.'

In the welcome Email, you will get a link for this interview. Click on it and finish the interview to confirm your participation in the scholarship program. Please note that you may or may not get selected for the scholarship.

About the Scholarship

  • What is 'Career Ready' Scholarship?

    It is a scholarship where we provide various free training program to build skills of college students in Tamilnadu. 

  • Why skills matter?

    No company wants to hire employees with just degrees. Companies are looking for people who can be innovators, problem solvers, and out of the box thinkers. These are people with skills. Only skills can make one stand out from the large crowd.

  • Who are eligible for Career Ready scholarship?

    Any Arts or engineering student in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or final year who is studying in Tamilnadu with family income less than Rs 3,00,000 per annum can apply for this Scholarship. 

  • What is the selection process?

    • The students who are interested can apply in this page.
    • The students attend a 'Trainee Selection Interview.' 
    • Upon getting shortlisted, students will be added to our CRS WhatsApp group.
    • On-boarding and training program starts.

  • What students get out of the scholarship?

    • Free virtual training of worth Rs 50,000 to build Career skills.
    •  You will develop various new skills required for your career.
    •  eCertificates for training completion.

  • What is the minimum expectations from the student side?

    The selected students should attend at least 5 training programs a year. Most of the training program will be for 15 days.

  • What are the takeaways for the students from this scholarship?

    • Students will equip themselves with many skills.
    • Value addition to their resume.
    •  A training completion certificate from Team Everest.

  • What are the violations the students should keep in mind?

    If students who opted in for a training program does not attend volunteer calls regularly or give non valid reasons, they will be given a warning. Repeated behaviour like this will end up in termination of the Scholarship.

  • Do you provide any financial scholarship as part of this?

    No. This is training only scholarship. We do not provide any financial benefits as part of this scholarship.

Training Programs

  • What kind of training program will students have?

    Students will have various training program like Mock Interviews, creative thinking sessions, financial literacy etc.

  • Through which medium the training will happen?

    Mostly the training program will happen over the regular phone call. However, some programs will happen over zoom or any other virtual meeting tools.

  • When will training programs be conducted?

    Training Programs are conducted through out the year. You can opt in for various training programs at any point of time.

  • Is it mandatory to attend all training programs?

    No. It is not mandatory. You can join the training programs which you like and which you think will add more value to you. We recommend you to attend as many training program as possible so that you can learn new skills quickly.
