What is fundraising?
Fundraising is raising funds for a cause close to your heart from your friends, family, and colleagues.
Why should I fundraise, when I donate to Team Everest already?
Thank you for being a donor. Yes, you are already a change-maker. But, you can create a 10x impact by being a fundraiser by bringing in more funds to educate financially poor students.
What support will I get for fundraising from Team Everest?
We offer 3 things to support your efforts:
- We will give a detailed online orientation about Fundraising.
- You will have a personalized fundraising page, where your friends and family can donate online. So any time you can login and see who has donated.
- We have made a 'Fundraising Kit' for you. It will have fundraising tips, content and pictures to be posted in Social Media. It will even have message to be sent via WhatsApp and other details.
I have never fundraised. Can I still volunteer?
It is okay if you have zero fundraising experience. Team Everest will teach, guide, and help you throughout your fundraising journey.
Team Everest will give you a 'Fundraising Kit.' It includes everything you will need to fundraise. You only have to download, copy, and paste from the kit to fundraise. It's that easy!

What is ‘I am the Change’ Scholarship?
IATC Scholarship is a scholarship that supports the education of parentless, single-parented and economically weak students.
How much does it cost to sponsor one student?
It costs Rs 42,000 per year. Rs 30,000 is towards college fees and Rs 12,000 is used for the training programs & the material cost. Thus it costs Rs 1,26,000 to make a student graduate as most of them take up 3 years courses.
How long this Scholarship has been happening?
We started this initiative in 2016. This is the eighth year of the 'I am the change' Scholarship program and we have sponsored 3600+ students as part of this scholarship till now.
Where is this scholarship happening?
The scholarship happens in 4 cities - Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, and Bengaluru
How are students selected for the Scholarship?

What do the students receive as part of the Scholarship?
The students will get
- Financial support up to Rs 30,000 per year towards their College fees.
- Year-long career skills building & employability training.
- Internship Opportunities with Corporates & Startups.
- Job Interview Opportunities.
What does Year-long training program include?
- First Penguin Classes: We do a training program called 'First Penguin Classes' which is a classroom training aimed at giving employability training to students. It includes 15 to 20 training sessions per year on Sundays where we train students on Public speaking, aptitude, and interview skills.
- Speak Out: It's an initiative where volunteers teach students through phone calls to improve their communication skills. Volunteers will be tagged to a student to have a 1-to-1 conversation. The idea behind Speak Out is that when students practice English daily, they can improve on it! All students take up at least 60 Speak Out sessions every year.
- Apart from these two, we conduct several 1-to-1 virtual training programs to improve students’ creativity, problem-solving, ethics, moral values, interview skills, and more.
Why is this Scholarship happening only in 4 cities?
- As we already mentioned, this is not a scholarship with only financial support. We do training and offer internships to students beyond financial assistance. To do that, we need students in one place rather than scattered across.
- That's why we take students in clusters in each city so it becomes easy to conduct these training programs.
Which college these students are studying?
Our 3600+ students (700+ students completed graduation) are studying in more than 375 different colleges. Our students are studying various UG courses in Arts, Engineering, Medicine and Law.
